Poetry for Gaza, Prints for Sudan & Congo
THIS THURSDAY MAR. 20: Join us as we water and tend to the olive tree that grew from concrete, answering @gazapoets call and raising funds to support the poetic and creative resilience of Gaza.
50% of ticket proceeds will go to the Gaza Poets Society, and the remaining 50% will go to @ampmgallery to help fight eviction and continue being a community staple in Brooklyn. As a reminder: if art didn’t matter, they wouldn’t have come for the poets and the artists. They keep coming, but we keep resisting and creating and communing. 🖤🎤💫🌱
Because we know all our struggles and our fights for liberation are interconnected, we’ll also be selling 🖼️🚨exclusive prints🚨🖼️ by @culturaomuerte with all funds going to aid efforts in Sudan and the DRC
Doors open at 6, Featured Poets reading begins at 7, followed by an open-mic to close out the evening. Open mic sign-ups are on a first-come basis at the door. Come out and share poetry of resilience, defiance, radical love, hope, and more.
🌟🎵 🎶 Our incredible featured poets and performers include:
@gisselleyepes

This powerful documentary explores the psychological impact of colonialism on the Puerto Rican people. Through the lens of an activist-turned-filmmaker, the film delves into the traumas of colonial history, examines how it shapes collective identity, and uncovers pathways for healing and transformation. Let’s come together to reflect, discuss, and envision a decolonial future.

AM:PM Rent Fundraiser Party
WE’RE HERE TO STAY!!! Our neighborhood, Los Sures-Williamsburg, has been hit hard by rapid gentrification & rent hikes, and AM:PM Gallery is now facing eviction threats.
We’re in a very critical moment and must raise $10K by THIS FRIDAY—part of the total $30K we need—to keep our space open and fight back against eviction.
This gallery isn’t just a space—it’s a movement. Losing our space would be devastating and a loss in our neighborhood 🇵🇷.
We need all the support we can get:
➡️ Donate whatever you can—every dollar counts!
➡️ Share this far and wide—visibility is everything!
➡️ Offer resources, legal aid, or connections that could help.
➡️ Join us for a rent party this Friday—let’s raise funds together to keep our doors open!
We’re fighting for our home, our culture, and our right to exist in the community we helped build. Please help us keep our location at 108 Marcy Ave. alive. We appreciate every bit of support—thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
