Poetry for Gaza, Prints for Sudan & Congo

THIS THURSDAY MAR. 20: Join us as we water and tend to the olive tree that grew from concrete, answering @gazapoets call and raising funds to support the poetic and creative resilience of Gaza.

50% of ticket proceeds will go to the Gaza Poets Society, and the remaining 50% will go to @ampmgallery to help fight eviction and continue being a community staple in Brooklyn. As a reminder: if art didn’t matter, they wouldn’t have come for the poets and the artists. They keep coming, but we keep resisting and creating and communing.
🖤🎤💫🌱

Because we know all our struggles and our fights for liberation are interconnected, we’ll also be selling 🖼️🚨exclusive prints🚨🖼️ by @culturaomuerte with all funds going to aid efforts in Sudan and the DRC

Doors open at 6, Featured Poets reading begins at 7, followed by an open-mic to close out the evening. Open mic sign-ups are on a first-come basis at the door. Come out and share poetry of resilience, defiance, radical love, hope, and more.
